The US uses about 20 million barrels of oil per day.


The US produces about 8 million barrels of ol per day.


The US EXPORTS about 1.3 million barrels of oil per day.


With everyone, Dems and Repubs alike, so concerned that we must be rid of our dependence on foreign oil, why do we allow the oil companies to be exporting about 15% of our daily production each and every day?
Non-issue. Oil is traded globally.





But even if it weren't, wouldn't we want our own oil for ourselves?
Last time I checked, we are not a major exporter of oil. Any we make here would be worth more here to use, don't you think?
