And I'm from the Philippines, I looked everywhere.

And I'm even wondering, Is there even a product, like the cranberry oil, here in the Philippines?

i think better to use castor oil or mineral oi....but this two oils are kinnda heavy...unlike cranberry...it is light oil and easy to rinse off

I'd like to buy cleansing oil (to remove makeup) thats not going to cost me too much. The shu uemura one is too expensive for me. Any ideas as to where i can buy cleansing oil for a budget price in north west or central london?

Thanks!Where can i buy cleansing oil that is not too expensive?
Burt's Bees make an Orange Essence Cleanser. It's about 8 US dollars. Here is the link

    http://www.burtsbees.com/webapp/wcs/stor鈥?/a>

I think they ship internationally. If you want to spend even less on a makeup remover I suggest you find a cold cream from your local store. They are low in cost and work well.Where can i buy cleansing oil that is not too expensive?
Neutrogena makes a foaming facial cleanser that a makeup remover all in one. They also makes an oil-free eyemake remover. They are both the best I've used so far. I'm not sure what products are available in London, but if Neutrogena is, it works. If it's not, maybe you could buy it online. They both cost about $8 (U.S.)
    The pound shop.
    Try boots or superdrug.

Superdrug do a really good one, that they had made. Its in a light blue bottle and say Superdrug Cleansing Oil on the front. I think it is about 拢1.19. They also do it in different scents and skin types for face wipes :)

    So yeh,thats what i suggest
you can use almond oil to cleanse. you can buy this quite cheaply but id reccomend looking for organic which will be slightly more expensive

Where can I buy essential oil and diluted water?

I'm making a alcohol-free perfume for a science fair project. Do you know where I can find these products?Where can I buy essential oil and diluted water?
I think you mean distilled water, not diluted...

Diluted water sounds like some sort of Zen Bhuddist riddle. Or a a really awesome band name :-) You can find distilled water at the grocery store.

Essential oils can be found at health and beauty stores, or places that sell meditation equipment.Where can I buy essential oil and diluted water?
Essential oils can be found at most health food stores.

I have no idea what diluted water is. Are you sure of the terminology? Usually you use water to dilute other liquids. I don't think it would work with oil, though. They don't mix, as the saying goes.
There is steam distilled water sold for drinkimg that is adequate

    for your purpose.

How do you intend to get the oils and water to mix?
Do you mean Distilled Water? The only thing diluted water is water with water added.

go around and check with different businesses, lots of times they'll give it away.Where can I find someplace in my area to buy waste oil?
No one is giving waste oil away anymore because there are people and companies willing to pay for it.

Maybe if you live in a rural area you could find some restaurants that would give you their waste frying oil but odds are someone is already buying it from them.

Where I live waste oil is being stolen from restaurants who have contracts with recyclers to pay for it.
Waste oil is selling for $2.35 gallon and you pick up. That is equal to about $3.25 be gallon of fuel oil equivalent
Craigslist.com or freecycle.com maybe? I've seen a magazine that is pretty much the same as above sites, but for industries that need to get rid of various things.

please help i live in a small town only a walmart here!!!Where can i buy a candy thermomiter/where can i buy flavored oil's for candy recipe?
If you have ';only a Wal-Mart'; then you're in luck.

Wal-Mart's kitchen department definitely has a candy thermometer...in fact they have several models. That's where I got mine.

As for the extracts (peppermint oil, etc) for making candy. Go to any pharmacy---even the one in your local Wal-Mart, if there is one. If they don't have the products in-stock, they can order them, and you'll have them in less than 3 days.Where can i buy a candy thermomiter/where can i buy flavored oil's for candy recipe?
The walmart will have the candy thermometer in with the kitchen gadgets or in the decorating supplies. As far as the oils, do you have a baker nearby, they may know of a place or you will have to google candy suppliers for the oils.
I agree with the others that Walmart is likely to have what you need. But here's a choice: http://www.candylandcrafts.com
    kitchenkrafts.com

they range from $5.50 to $34.95
the ultimate definative source is kitchenkraft.com they are THE BEST in the business. they have a DIGITAL candy thermometer for 35 bucks with free shipping, a huge selection of ingredients, and awesome customer service. have ordered many awesome items. most arrive 3-5 days. they arte the amazon.com of candy!
You should be able to get all you need at WalMart. Candy thermometer will be in housewares in the gadget aisle and the flavorings will be in the spice aisle in the grocery area.

were oil to rise in value. Can I buy oil on the stock market or is the only way to capitalize on oil prices is to invest in oil companies?
You can purchase an ETF which is the simplest way to play a sector/industry in the form of a stock. But if you have the money (or a margin account) you can actually buy futures contracts on oil (I forget the exact numbers but each contract is worth thousands) or any commodity. That would be considered a direct play and would not mitigate risk across an industry.
You can buy stock in an oil company. Or you can buy a futures contract on oil. Or you can invest in an ETF that tracks oil, such as USO or USL.

Costco's own brand of olive oil is excellent (Kirlkand brand). They have a very high quality extra virgin, Tuscan olive oil for about $12.00 a liter. think it is almost as good as an $80.00 olive oil I used to buy for gifts. They also have larger containers of a lesser olive oil that is probably good too (haven't tried it).

Trader Joe's also has good olive oil for low prices. Also check out any ';job lots'; stores that have food section. Marshalls and TJ Maxx also sometimes have olive oil in their food sections.

When you see oil start to creep up again to $55-60 a barrell, I would start getting into oil stocks. They are good plays anyway that have great divvy's and make a ton of money.

Keep away from oil stocks, I understand everybody is saying oil has bottomed and it will go up fast, don't listen. Price of oil may even go lower and it will resume around $45 - $55 range. Unless, there is going to be some major catastrophe like 9-11.
I think start averaging into oil right now...if it takes another hit put some more in it....it will go back up sooner or later.
The days of low cost oil are over. I don't think we will see $100 in the future but prices will most certainly rise.
american first has it right don't try to time it but set price ranges starting now and do a dollar cost averaging and go for it. (personally I'm still waiting for another $1 or $2 drop XLE is still up there as far as I am concerned but there are alternatives which is now on my ';watch'; list. It won't be long before I pull the trigger on Oil and Housing

Any Indian or Thai grocery store will carry all of these in larger quantites. Also, some brands of coconut oil do have the tendency to be hard and waxy when at room temp. Check the ingredients to see if it is hydrogenated or partially hydrogenated. When it hits the heat, it will melt.

Can you buy basil oil at the grocery store?

I need basil oil for a recipe I am making but I don't feel like making it myself...can I just buy it somewhere? Can you buy basil oil at the grocery store?
Sure you can. Just look where they keep the gourmet oils. Of course you could make you own as well. Here is a great recipe for it and it so easy!!!

    BASIL OIL

    Ingredients

1 1/2 cups (packed) fresh basil leaves

    3/4 cup olive oil

    Preparation

Blanch basil in medium saucepan of boiling water 10 seconds. Drain. Rinse under cold water. Pat basil dry with paper towels. Transfer to blender. Add oil; puree until smooth. Transfer to small bowl. Season with salt and pepper. (Can be made 3 days ahead. Cover and chill. Let stand at room temperature for 30 minutes before using.)

Also, I have posted this before and the person did not know what blanching meant, so just in case you, or anyone else reading this, doesn't know how to blanch; here you go:

Definition: This term means to plunge foods into boiling water for a few seconds or a few minutes, then remove and place in ice water. This process sets the color of vegetables, lets you easily peel fruits, and slip the skins off nuts. The food does not cook all the way through, so crisp texture is preserved.

I hope this helps you out! Have a Blessed day! :)Can you buy basil oil at the grocery store?
the only place i have seen basil oil is from pampered chef, but look in the gourmet section of the grocery, they may have it.
if you can't, you can probably find it in a specialty store.
you can surely buy in the right grocery shops where the products can be trusted in terms of quality!!!
oh yes of course you can buy it. i know for sure that supermarkets have that, also large grocery stoes. they are in the oils and dressings section. i was looking for an almond oil the other day and Basil oil is in there in addition to garlic, almond, and other many ones.

If I'm a gas company and I buy oil and make it gas, how do I benefit from an increase in the price of oil?

Sometimes thinking caps are really cool and fun - try one today! If I'm a gas company and I buy oil and make it gas, how do I benefit from an increase in the price of oil?
90% of the time “gas companies” are ';oil companies'; - so it's a win - win kinda thing. Buy from a subsidiary at a profit to that part of YOUR Company and write the cost off - produce gas at an artificially inflated price and reap the rewords.

    http://finance.google.com/finance?q=NYSE…

You’ll get the idea when you look at the 10 Y chart at the link above. If I'm a gas company and I buy oil and make it gas, how do I benefit from an increase in the price of oil?
Gas companies do not exist. They are oil companies. The oil they find and retrieve is used to create many things including gasoline.
Your inventory also increases in value.
Because the market will buy your current supply that you paid less for at the current price. It's how the futures market works. Works the same for corn, soy beans, and whatever.
if you're like the thieving oil companies - you raise th price of gas before the increased cost oil is even purchased, so you make more money off less costly oil that was used to make the actual gasoline
If you are a gas company who purchases oil you do not benefit unless you increase your price to offset the increase. however if you are a gas company who also produces your own oil then you are making billions in profits from inflated prices.
Well the gas company is probably the oil company and they dont have to buy the oil as they will produce it through drilling and refinning. So then when they do sell crude as well they sell it for more money
you pass the increase to the consumer and you usaully increase the price for all the old oil you obtained at the lower price, so your profit margin increases.
Because if I'm paying say about a dollar a gallon for oil, and the news says that the price was raised, I can sell it for three dollars a gallon and nobody yells at me about inflation.
Because the oil you bought is worth more than you paid. If I buy an iPhone for $400 but the market says it's worth $800, I'll make a nice profit by selling it.

Gas companies will simply pass the higher cost along to consumers anyway.
Raises tax revenues for the government .

    30% of a dollar is just 30 cents .

    30% of $3.00 is .90 cents .

you do the math . Plus businesses run on percentages also and the higher prices go the greater the profits become . So instead of a 10 billion dollar profit that number becomes 20-30-40 billion depending on how high the price gets .
You mean gasoline? The refineries are mostly owned by large oil companies that are vertically integrated all the way down to the retail store you buy your fuel from these days. They drill for it, pump it out of ground, clean it up, refine it, and then they sell it.

There are very few independent refineries (that's who produces ';gas';, my ';thinking'; friend).
high oil prices=more people switch to gas=higher gas prices.

    We're getting screwed..
    (i) look into possibility of using other alternatives as your raw material, a very good one is using palm oil. palm oil can be turned into fuel and even for cooking

(ii) try to minimize the residue of your processes

(iii) pass the increase of the cost to end-users by hiking up the price of your gas

  • My shoe shine boy told me to buy oil, is it time to get long?

My shoe shine boy this morning told me to buy oil, should I take his advice? My shoe shine boy told me to buy oil, is it time to get long?
Well, I don麓t personally think it is quite straight forward as every answer you have received so far, gives. Though I may agree with the Rockefeller story. Oil is obviously the main talking point and well it has been since December or last year when $100 per barrel was highly possible, indeed which it made in early January. The problem with the advice you have been given so far is that it fails to ignore one very basic element of standard economic understanding, the supply and demand issue. Supply is well known and highly documentated as decreasing. This due to political unrest and Opec decreasing output, is having an effect on supply. Also in one school of thinking, oil is believed to be reaching it麓s maximum and depleting oil fields, particularly in the US, are starting to take their toll on supply too. We all know it is going to run out eventually, the question has always been when. It seems opec are starting to get scared it might be sooner rather than later so are looking for every last possible buck they can make before it goes completely.

The other factor is demand, which unless I live in a completely different world to those who have answered already, seems to be increasing. This slowing in supply and increasing in demand, always as far as economics is concerned has meant that the price of said product, in this case oil, always goes up. China and India are still quickly growing economies who are demanding more and more oil each day. The US still is the highest consumer and until the american opinion on biofuels, nuclear or more environmentally friendly forms of energy changes, they will still continually drive around in their 6 litre SUV麓s drinking up the stuff as they go. As such on a very basic level, the price of oil will continue to increase in our present climate. Until we find something else to replace it with or the stock markets absolutely crash (which though possible is unlikely realistically to happen) then oil will continue to see good times ahead. That being said, the current state of world economics is still a bit precarious, though if you have a spare few pounds that you can afford to lose if the worst comes to the worst, oil is a fairly safe bet, even safer than houses. Though you have to think through the situation and the arguments for yourself, nobody else will and at the end of the day it is your money. Good luck.My shoe shine boy told me to buy oil, is it time to get long?
Nope, it means get out of the stock market. There's a story that John D. Rockfeller was getting his shoes shined and he overheard the other shoe shine boys giving each other stock tips. He knew right then and there that the stock market was about to crash and sure enough it did in 1929. The moral of the story is...... that shoe shine boys jinx the stock market.
Then it might be time to go short!

Realistically if we look at historical parallels around $70 is where oil should be but we have this vastly over inflated price of $126 last time i looked on http://www.goldpricecrash.com/index.html .

Of course the oil price is always volatile because it tends to belong to the most volatile regions in the world. Venezuela has settled and so too has Nigeria. How long before we see a sustained strengthening of the dollar, a glut in oil production and a fallback as we saw in the mid 80s?

This issue is currently being discussed on the forum http://www.goldpricecrash.com/forum/topic52.html
No, that would be the clue that you should go SHORT, dude.

(When everyone is doing it, the trend is no longer your friend)
well oil is going up in price but what goes up must come down as they say . depends if you have the money to invest in such expensive stocks
nicedoc got it right. And the shoeshine boys again said to invest in Internet b2b, Tech, MCI, and Enron back in Jan 2000.
shoe shine boy??? where do you live mate? can you not clean your own shoes?

Why do Obama & Biden Want Europe to Buy Oil from Russia Instead of From the US?

Their commie trilaterist. Why do Obama %26amp; Biden Want Europe to Buy Oil from Russia Instead of From the US?
We sell our alaska oil to Japan

Oil has a market value no matter its source but if we want europe to buy russian oil its because we know that raising the standard of living of the prolatariot will perhaps abate the power of russia to do what Putins doing now in Georgia

If you want to make a statement boycott LUKE OIL they russian

Why do Obama %26amp; Biden Want Europe to Buy Oil from Russia Instead of From the US?
The US uses about 20 million barrels of oil per day.

The US produces about 8 million barrels of ol per day.

The US EXPORTS about 1.3 million barrels of oil per day.

With everyone, Dems and Repubs alike, so concerned that we must be rid of our dependence on foreign oil, why do we allow the oil companies to be exporting about 15% of our daily production each and every day?
    Non-issue. Oil is traded globally.

But even if it weren't, wouldn't we want our own oil for ourselves?
Last time I checked, we are not a major exporter of oil. Any we make here would be worth more here to use, don't you think?
Why are we selling oil to Europe when we supposedly need it here...
Why would we sell oil, that we obviously need?
    Say what?

Why do we have to buy oil from the muslim world why cant we find alternatives?

Because environmentalists block us from drilling in our own ample oil reserves. Also, as far as oil alternatives, we're working hard on them, but the science is hard, even if it is coming along, the the cost of research and development is high right now. Middle East oil sources are, unfortunately, sort of the only show in town. Why do we have to buy oil from the muslim world why cant we find alternatives?
The us buys almost NO oil from the Middle East. The US imports almost all its oil from:

    1. Canada

    2. Mexico

    3. Venezuela

    4. NigeriaWhy do we have to buy oil from the muslim world why cant we find alternatives?
There is lots of oil under Alaska, but to get to it, we would ahve to tear up the Alaskw wilderness and destroy it, so we don't.
The oil companies want to milk this oil thing for all its worth. Ka-ching!
    Dunno...........

I think they accomplished what they set out to do so I don't see why they should continue whit this especially if they want to collapse the US economy to install martial law

Of course the dollar will fail and collapse if Iran is left alone but I'm thinking its doomed anyway and don't even think they have that as a priority

At least not with this buffoons as president
The important thing to understand here is that even if the US drilled exclusively in the US, there is only enough oil to keeps us for a few years at most. And you must remember, before going off on OPEC, that most of the whole situation in the Middle East is due to the West, who wanted (surprise surprise) oil.

The answer is finding alternatives to oil. However, when the current political administration is so deeply tied to the oil industry and the electric companies, why would they want to find alternatives?
The reason we buy from them is because it keeps, oil and gas prices down.

If we were to drill oil from our own lands gas prices would go up to 12 dollars a gallon because of American workers wanting good wages. Also someone said we only have enough for a few years, please we have enough for about 300 years, I think even more. But I seriously hope that we do not drill our own oil, and that an alternative becomes a reality. All our surface ships consume a lot oil and I personally would prefer that our oil assets be wasted on our military assets.

I ask you this, why waste our own oil when it would cost more as well. When we can buy it for cheap?
BECAUSE IT IS CHEAPER TO STEAL AND BUY IT CHEAP IN ORDER TO SELL FOR MUCH MORE

    PROFIT, PROFIT, PROFIT
because Liberals block us from drilling on our own land
The USA uses 60% of the worlds oil, compared to Europe, which has a higher GDP and population as the USA (Yes, we are not anymore the top dog).

It would be very easy and would cost much less then the wars and add lots of high paying jobs, if we would improve our infrastructure and use cars with double the mileage per gallon, like Europe.

If we would do that, there would be so much oil left, Opec wouldn't no what to do with it and we could get totally independant.

(Alaska oil wouldn't even make a dent into our current thirst)
From what I have been told it is beacause there is no way to contract to a country to get their oil ONLY...

That it is an open market and that ALL the world's oil is considered one big pool of oil so it doesn't matter if it comes from Russia or the Gulf of Mexico or the Middle East... It will all sell for the same price and come from the big pool... Not a specific country...

This makes no sense to me but I can't find any hard facts to tell me that it is any other way...

We could solve this problem if we:

    1. Started drilling for the oil on American Soil... I'm sorry but I could give a damn about the Carabo up in Alaska... Studies have proven that they LIKE the pipeline because they use it to keep warm in winter... So ALL the claims of the Whack-Job Environmentalist are lies. Flat out lies.

    2. Approach Russia or Venuezla or another ';Friendly'; country and say ';OK, we got a propasition for you... You sell us your oil for less then current market price, but we will buy all the oil you can pump out...';

THEN we would be cutting off the one and only export from the fanatic, retarded middle east...

Russia is currently building one of the largest oil platforms ever right above china... There was a Discovery Chan doc on it... They have more oil then the Middle East according to this doc.

It seems pretty easy to just take our business elsewhere...
because thats the federal reseerve banks fault, if you dont believe me search for zeitgeist part 3(use GOOGLE VIDEO)

Shell buys oil from whoever is selling it. The price they pay is either contractual or based on the current market price.

its not going to trade under a symbol that you use when you trade stocks. Since oil is a commodity it can only be traded using a commodity firm. Most times your broker has an etf that tracks the price of oil. Good Luck

I've been collecting art for 35 years and I have a BFA degree. I would NEVER by an original painting or any other piece of expensive artwork on Ebay or the Internet. Go to a local dealer or gallery. The quality and authentication is too easy to be manipulated on a picture on the net.

Is it Racist of Obama to Say we Buy Oil From People who Don't Like Us?

Why is he trying to ruin the economic lives of millions and millions of people by no longer buying oil from the people of Saudi Arabia, Iran, Iraq, Kuwait, etc?

Isn't it racist of him to say all of those people don't like us?Is it Racist of Obama to Say we Buy Oil From People who Don't Like Us?
There's a reason Hussein wants to ban drilling. He wants us to continue to enrich his Muslim buddies, and maybe even open the door to Iran.Is it Racist of Obama to Say we Buy Oil From People who Don't Like Us?
    No.

First of all, you forgot Venezuela. Second, I'm pretty sure we don't buy anything from Iran.

And, to a further point. Look at Dubai. Not the biggest oil country, but they are astute enough to have seen the future. They have created a vacation spot out of their tiny Emirate - to attract Europeans. Bascially the only things you can't do are buy liquor in a store (though it's available at a hotel bar) and be alone with an unmarried woman in the same room.
    Joe: No.

G: If you people think that most of the rest of the world is AGAINST America, then you obviously haven't been overseas. Hint: Niagara Falls, Canada; Tijuana, Mexico; and St. Croix don't count!

People in other countries want the US to be strong, not weak. They are overwhelmingly for Obama because they believe that McCain will destabilize things for all of us, just like Bush has done in invading the wrong country.

Here is what people overseas are saying about the election:

No, where do you get such nonsense? Are you trying to say if we don't buy oil from the Middle East that we're ruining their lives or our own being those that are living here in the United States?

What he said is a blanket statement but it wasn't in any way, shape or form a racist statement.
    Racist

    noun

    1. a person with a prejudiced belief that one race is superior to others

In a sentence : people who always cry racism are often racist
Are you really that naive?Do you really think the Arab people like us after us invading and taking over one of their countries?
No and both parties use the same line. Chavez has called Bush the Devil and many other of the Oil states have had issues with us.
Both parties have said that. They were not referring to ALL countries we buy oil from only some of them, and no it is not racist it is honest.
Because most of the countries we buy oil from DON'T.
Most of the world hates the US.
    .how is that racist?

    and everyone haes the us...
I'm sorry how is that racist? Please explain.
They don't, they burn our flags and say they hate america

what more proof do you need lol
We buy Oil from Canada, and they HATE us too.
    Well they dont!!!!!
    No. It's just a fact.

Well, you may be able to use castor oil, or some other synthetic product that is ';clear';.

That is mostly the reason they use the mineral oil, is because it looks like rain, because of the clarity of the solution.

  • Why are investors buying oil at $113 a barrel? Wouldn't it be a better investment to buy it cheaper?

If the market is $113 where can you buy it cheaper,

Yes it would be better to buy it cheaper but the market says the price is 113, you have two choices - pay 113 or do nothing. Why are investors buying oil at $113 a barrel? Wouldn't it be a better investment to buy it cheaper?
As an investor, you'd like to buy it cheaper, but there is no guarantee that the price will ever pull back to the level you want. The risk you take if you wait for the price of something to go down is that it goes up instead of down and you end up buying it for even more, or worse, end up missing a huge move completely. There are numerous stories in the markets of people holding out for an extra dollar or two in price, and missing out on huge moves as a result. Most of the time when you hold out for a better price, you get it...but the times you miss out can be very expensive. Why are investors buying oil at $113 a barrel? Wouldn't it be a better investment to buy it cheaper?
The price of oil is determined by supply and demand and speculations! If you need the commodity, you pay market price, which is $113!
obviously, but where? If you ask the question ';why are investors selling oil at $113 a barrel. Wouldn't it be better to sell it cheaper? You have your answer!
    that's today's market price

if you wanted it cheaper you would have had to lock in the price a while back
Where is it cheaper? It was ';cheaper'; at 75.00 and 85.00. Catch my drift?

Is it possible to just buy oil? Is it on a commodities market?

I know commodities work differently. Can it be done?Is it possible to just buy oil? Is it on a commodities market?
Sure, buy a contract for 1,000 barrels of light sweet crude or the Russian Export blend (physical delivery at the Baltic Sea port of Primorsk) on the New York Mercantile exchange and when it settles you will get a delivery notice, so just tell them where to send it (which will cost you extra). Is it possible to just buy oil? Is it on a commodities market?
Yes, but you don't want to.

First, the ';oil prices'; you see don't include delivery or storage. So, if you buy oil, you have oil wherever it came from. Nigerian oil will be in Nigeria, and you have to pay to get it to a storage facility. Then, you have to pay insurance and storage costs until you sell it. It's a serious cost, and it produces no value, because the people you sell the oil to would probably rather have it in Nigeria.

That sucks. Seriously. And, if you're an ordinary joe, it's illegal for you to have underground storage tanks at home.

So, you have to go to the futures market. Basically, you buy futures, and sell them before you have to exercise them, and never actually take physical delivery of oil. There are ETF and Mutual Funds that do this for you. USO is one of them.

    --%26gt;Adam
    1) Yes.

    2) Yes.

    3) Yes.
You can buy oil through USO index fund. You can also buy oil futures contracts which are contracts for the future delivery of oil. Just liquidate them before the contract comes due. You can purchase a future contract on very low margin giving you a lot of leverage. Of course that leverage works two ways.
You can buy oil the way it is traded every business day on the commodities market. This consists of buying a futures contract on crude oil, or natural gas,, heating oil, unleaded gasoline, etc. The futures contract does provide for physical delivery of a particular commodity or item and those which call for a cash settlement. The month during which delivery or settlement is to occur is specified. A July futures contract requires delivery or settlement in July. In the event of a delivery type futures contracts, very few actually result in delivery. Preferably it is more profitable to sell an off setting contract prior to delivery date. Selling a contract that was previously purchased liquidates a futures position in exactly the same way, that selling 100 shares of IBM stock liquidates an earlier purchase of 100 shares of IBM stock. A futures contract initially sold can be liquidated by an offsetting purchase. In either case, gain or loss is the difference between the buying price and the selling price. Not many speculators have the desire to take or make delivery of the quantity of oil that is specified in each contract. For crude oil, the quantity per contract is 500 barrels of oil. Each barrel of oil equals 42 gallons. In other words the buying and selling of oil is done for the most part by wholesalers who will take either a gain or loss on the existing contract, depending if it has gone up or down in price.
You can buy oil in the spot market (e.g., buy the oil and take it home with you) -- or you can buy oil futures -- which is a contract to purchase oil at an agreed upon price at some point in the future.
No... you can't buy oil as an individual... you have to be a company for that.

It's on the commodities market and the symbol is something like ';OIX'; or ';OLX';... anyway, I tried trading it and found I couldn't because I had the wrong credentials... at least that was true about 5 years ago.

How do you buy oil to sell to refineries (futures exchanges)?

Ok long story short ill receive a sum of money in a few months when I turn 18. I will get a little more then 1 million dollars and I want to invest it wisely. How could I buy barrels of oils and sell them? Can you do it online like with stocks by using sites like TD Ameritrade or Etrade? How do you buy oil to sell to refineries (futures exchanges)?
First of all, you are not ready for trading oil if you don't understand the function of the markets. I trade futures on occasion, and even after 8 years of profitably trading stocks and options, I find futures horribly difficult, because they are so leveraged. If you get started with your level of knowledge I predict you lose your 1M in 1 year, no joke!. Let me tell you a little about the market. First of all, unless you are a producer, you will never sell oil to a refinery. Refinery purchases are made in much larger figures than $1M and they are not made on the open market. They are made on phone calls and handshakes. Second, the futures market does allow you to take delivery of oil if you like, but then what will you do? No one will buy it back. Hope you have home refining capabilities. The futures market is where producers and refineries go to hedge their production or supply needs, not where they go for oil. They hedge with folks like you and me. In other words they use us to protect against risk. Regarding brokers, etrade does allow futures with a special account but I dont think you'd qualify unless you lie on your forms. You can go to interactive brokers. I use them. They will probably give you an account. However, I know that interactive does not allow delivery. If you have a contract that is coming up on delivery they will sell it on you, and roll into the next contract month. So, you will never own oil, except the right to take delivery on paper. That's the way the market works for non-commercials such as you and I. You can find brokers that allow you to take delivery, but I find they often are not electronic, but rather have a floor trader. If you are really sold on oil as an investment, I suggest looking at the oil futures etf that trades on the amex. The symbol is USO. Best of all, it is optionable so you can hedge because it is a very volatile animal.

Where do you buy oil to put on your legs?

Sometimes in like facebook pictures the older girls at my high school have super smooth looking, like slick n' shiny but not like weird, like cute, really pretty legs.

This is gonna sound really stupid..lol... but there is a spray you can buy at any drugstore in the shampoo/haircare section. It's called Pure Shine spray on illuminator (and it supposed to be for your hair) but on the box it says you can also spray it on your legs for a sexy sheen... Actually call and put options only.

If you do not have a broker license or do not want to take delivery of the commodities/currency then why would you care for futures and forwards? Too cumbersome to open a margin account etc.

You can speculate in options. Hedgestreet.com allows you to bet as low as $50 or so.
You type in your answer in the search engine for any type of question!!
I would say to use a managed currency fund rather than trading it yourself. For the last 4 months the FXCM sentiment aggressive fund has 52% return. (www.fxcm.com). If you open an account through a broker (such as Self-Actualizer Financial Solutions), you can get a big discount on the performance fees--see www.self-actualizer-fs.com

Is it a good idea to buy oil paintings reproduction of classical masterpieces?

In what way do you mean 'good idea'? It will give you access to easily view something you might not otherwise be able to view. It will be cheaper than the original. It will likely be available, whereas the original will likely not even be for sale.

A reproduction will not be exactly the same as viewing the original. It will not be of any value for resale purposes.

If you enjoy the piece and want it to hang on the wall of your home, then yes, it's probably a 'good idea' to buy a reproduction. Is it a good idea to buy oil paintings reproduction of classical masterpieces?
As an artist and respectful of other artists I have COPIES. I suggest it matters very little if you like a piece, unless you can truly afford the original and it happens to be available,,,IE: Van Gogh one of my faves/ Sunflowers, now in a Japanese, financial institution I believe, at a cost of 2.5 million. I can buy a repro for quite a bit less,,,AND still enjoy it

  • How Do I Buy Oil And Gold?

Where online can I buy Oil and Gold. Is it a good time to buy oil since the price is low and OPEC decided to cut production which will likely drive up the price of oil.How Do I Buy Oil And Gold?
I once owned $675,00 of oil futures this summer, and I hate to say it but it just won't be the same again.

I would avoid commodities cause China's GDP is down 22% for 2008, and their exports are down 11% for 2008. China has a bought a stockpile of commodities, and soon they will have to sell them to pay the huge unrest they are fighting. We only had 2% GDP drop for the year to put in terms, and the only thing saving China's exchanges is that the government is printing money to by down their loses. That is right the Chinese government owns 47% of the current stock volume in China, and when their inflation numbers come out the will be selling commodities like it is out of style to save their economy this February.

I would buy stock in logistic businesses cause a sticky price will, and low gas prices will lead 2 good quarters.

Low oil prices in a recovery means industrial growth, and that means millions of jobs %26amp; huge jumps in GDP.

OPEC only controls 32% of the worlds oil, and 40% of its member countries are not in the Islamic world.

The problem with OPEC making production cuts that has slowed them is only Saudi Arabia can afford it as some OPEC members already are down to 50,000 barrels a month, and the bigger problem is that OPEC often makes cuts while members tend to just pump any way defying OPEC.

OPEC only produces 1,380,000 barrels a day already, and the United States consumes 19.6 million barrels per day. OPEC has 32% of the reserves but less then 10% of production, and 4 million barrels a month the current cut is only 125,000 barrels a day. This will not even have physiological impact because reserves being explored in non OPEC nations are increasing 11% a year, and the futures market sets oil prices. A 11% increase is 1/3 of OPEC's total reserve just this year made pointless, and oil was inflated for so long that these falls have been long in the makingHow Do I Buy Oil And Gold?
    Hello Darren,

It would be prudent to do a further study and analysis with respect to both crude oil and gold. Let's look at each of them seperately.

Crude oil has been on the down slide as there has been a cut down in demand for it by the end user. There exists a demand-supply mismatch, with the excess being on the supply side. This would firstly require a cut back in production by OPEC countries to more closely balance the supply with demand. This would take time. So the price of crude oil is expected to remain at its lower band till such time that there is an oversupply in the market. Crude oil being a commodity would require you as an individual to purchase futures contracts for the same through the commodities exchange in your country.

Gold was and still is the base on which all currencies of the globe are printed on. It is considered to be a safe investment by most. But it's past, present and future prices are dependent more on the demand and supply of it to the end user for the finished products. As an individual you may deal in this commodity through ETFs or consider trading it in the commodities exchange of your country. Here you would again be dealing in futures contracts.

As you seem to be inclined to transacting in futures of commodities, it may be a good idea to read the following book:

Option, Futures and Other Dervivatives by John C. Hull

For a further selection of suitable books you may consider doing a search at www.amazon.com

If you want to buy these, look at the etf's - OIL %26amp; GLD. Both of these are so narrowly focused, I would not have more than 5% of my portfolio in each. Oil might be a good bet - long term - 5, 10 yrs. Gold, I think has hit it's peak (in my opinion).
you may check it out from this site. they allow trading in oil, gold and silver. if you are new to this, you may register and download a Free Ebook and a Free Demo Account as well. all the best.

Can I buy oil based paint in West Virginia or Virginia?

My house is very old and the porches have had at least 20 coats of oil based paint. In Maryland you can no longer buy oil based paint due to the ozone restrictions and air quality issues in the Baltimore/DC metro areas. I live in extreme western maryland where we don't have the air issues and the winter weathers eat latex paints alive.

I know there are ETF's and some futures I can buy, but what are some of the other ways?? I have about $2500 I am looking to investWhat are some of the ways to buy Oil in the Market?
If you are the cautious type here is what I have been doing. In the morning look for the close of the Nikkei. Being real cautious if the Nikkei closes lower, do not trade anything for the rest of the day.

In the morning if the Nikkei closes lower but the Dow futures point higher, you might want to throw caution to the wind and buy your oil stock.

If you are IN closely watch XOM. If at 1 hour before the close of the Dow XOM is positive buy more stock.

Look up what a stop marked order is.

Good luckWhat are some of the ways to buy Oil in the Market?
Since $2500 is not enough to buy a futures contract, you could consider buying an option on a Oil futures contract.

What should I do, any ideas, suggestions would be welcome. BTW, is this a good time to buy oil stocks? As far as I can see, the price would not come down soon if ever again. Am I wrong in feeling this way?

I think good time of oil stock had started since last year but now it's still good time to buyIs it a good time to buy oil stocks?
I would buy a mutual fund focused on oil and energy stocks. Unless you truly have insight into the industry, I would stay away from individual stocks.

Moreover, mutual funds would give you a higher ratio (i.e. higher return per unit of risk incurred) than stocks in general.

Capital preservation is the name of the game nowadays.
Yes, it is a great time to buy stocks. But don't invest all in 1 company. You are looking at 10% average return on a long-term horizon of 2-5 years from now.
I would definitely stick with the company with the highest reserve growth. It should perform the best in an up and down oil market.

PBR would be my pick of the three you supplied.
Cindy McCain (Mrs. John) is the world's foremost authority when it comes to answering questions such as this.

Do we buy oil from countries that have lower environmental standards than we do?

Should congress require everyone to meet US standards for exploration and drilling? If we are one of the largest users, don't we have the power to do this as long as we are willing to pay for it?Do we buy oil from countries that have lower environmental standards than we do?
No, the US doesn't have the economic bargaining power to impose US standards on the rest of the world.

Right now cars and oil based industry are expanding at exponential rates in India and China. Having to split the worlds oil 3 ways instead of just the US consuming it has caused the price to triple in the last 5 yrs.

India and China will continue to expand and require more oil. If trends continue, in a very few years they will need the oil the US consumes currently.

That means the Oil Producing Countries can tell the US to go pound sand if we don't do as they want. OPEC is already considering requiring payment in Euros instead of dollars. If they switch to Euros, the price of gas will jump 57% over night. ( E1.00 = $1.57 ).

Concerned people should be worrying about what will happen when the cars, buses, trains, light bulbs, home heat, house hold water and factories stop running because of no oil for power. The US needs a viable energy plan for the future NOW!Do we buy oil from countries that have lower environmental standards than we do?
I'm not sure if other countries have lower standards when it comes to exploration and drilling, but even if they did we do not have the power to do anything about it. First, there is plenty of demand elswhere in the world for oil, so if we refuse to buy it someone else will. That's one of the reasons prices have stayed so high for so long. Second, the US is not prepared to stop importing fuel from unfriendly countries. You think $4 a gallon is a lot. If we do that it'll be more like $10 a gallon. If congress wants to ease pressure on oil prices they should open up the rest of the US for exploration and production. Alternative fuels will play a part, but even over the next 30 years it will be a very small part. Also, I believe that many of the alternative technologies that are being pushed are crackpot ideas to begin with.
Most countries have lower environmental standards than we do. If you are going to impose those standards on oil, you have to do it for all imports, and then we won't be able to import anything.

We buy most of our oil from Canada. Canada's environmental standards are lower than the US. Where do you start?

This is one reason US manufactures are at a disadvantage world wide. We lose blue collar jobs to other countries because we set the bar so high for our own companies.
Canada has one of the highest standards for the environment. Don't buy in to that crap that we don't. We take our landscape very seriously.

Most American oil companies are upset with us because we won't give their companies unrestricted access to our oil, so they fill their people with nonsense that our methods are substandard.

And to answer your question, other than the 2nd and 3rd world countries (which have stopped most of their shipments to the US) America has the lowest standards for drilling and refining oil.
every other country has lower environmental standards than the U.S.

its the liberal nut cases who say that the U.S. is the only ones who should pay for and, clean up the mess made by those other countries. liberals are wack jobs
Why do oil producing nations sell oil to a country that allows Nancy Pelosi to be Speaker of the House of Representatives? Have they no standards?
No. We need dat oil. Screw them evironmental standards.
Yes, we do. I doubt you can find any oil exporting country that has stricter standards than the US.
Do you even know what the kyoto agreement is?

we're the ones with the lowest standards globally.
A lot of our imported oil comes from Canada. Their environmental standards are relatively high.
Congress will eventually demand that......we are all doomed
Try telling OPEC that. They will fall on the floor laughing and then raise the price of a barrel of crude by $5.00.

  • Is it bad for the environment if I buy oil paint with cadmium?

I was watching a show on Animal Planet called The Earth In Peril (or something with Jeff Corwin and that one hot old guy with white hair) and they had mentioned how this one place in China was mining for a certain ore and by doing this other minerals like cadmium were coming out and polluting the environment around them. I just wanna get my facts straight. Anyone know anything about cadmium? Should I not use oil paints with cadmium? because I care about the Earth and I don't want to contribute to the destruction of it!Is it bad for the environment if I buy oil paint with cadmium?
It depends on how the cadmium is treated chemically. Cadmium salts are poisonous and very dangerous. However, cadmium pigment in oil (and acrylic) paints may be a chelated form of cadmium which is inert to living tissue. Consider for example, the element bismuth. Bismuth is a heavy metal and is poisonous to man. But a chelated form of Bismuth is the active ingredient in Pepto-Bismol! Go Figure! Is it bad for the environment if I buy oil paint with cadmium?
Cadmium is an occupational hazard associated with industrial processes such as metal plating and the production of nickel-cadmium batteries, pigments, plastics and other synthetics. The primary route of exposure in industrial settings is inhalation. Inhalation of cadmium-containing fumes can result initially in metal fume fever but may progress to chemical pneumonitis, pulmonary edema, and death.[2] Cadmium is also a potential environmental hazard. It sure ain't good for the planet !

Should we buy oil when it feeds the fat cats as well as burning the Earths layers of oil?

which heats up the atmosphere and makes the ice melt. Its destroying the planet. Is this not wrong?Should we buy oil when it feeds the fat cats as well as burning the Earths layers of oil?
...says the person on an online forum. I am assuming you are on a computer and using a monitor. Is that not wrong? Should we buy oil when it feeds the fat cats as well as burning the Earths layers of oil?
A lot of people's answers to this question are something along the lines of ';No, but it would be too hard to stop, so we're just going to keep doing it.'; I would like to remind everyone of the time when the Israelites were in the desert and could not imagine how they could possibly live outside of slavery to the Egyptian political-technological system, and thought it would better if they had died there. When we are faithful to God, he always provides a way.

That being said, I am still using oil frequently, I still don't always know how to stop. Let's keep praying.
What alternatives do we have? You've got to drive a car, heat your home, heat your water, power your stove and refrigerator. They've got us by the bulbs.

It's about time America pulled advanced technology off the shelf that we've been holding back from the public. 35 years ago the Moody brothers from Daytona Beach invented an engine that got 100 miles to the gallon. USA has more than that up it's sleeve but they allow the fat cats to get fatter, taking it off the backs of the little people.

Please don't believe everything a politician, Al Gore, tells you.

If we ‘humans’ stop buying oil many thousands of people will loose their jobs %26amp; homes. The F.D.A will collapse so their will be no food. Heath systems will collapse and the doctors will not get paid. Children will not have to go to school and the government will fall. Trasportation companies will fall. Oil is modern day gold. You won't even have a computer to use to ask this question on yahoo answers. Oil runs everything in America.
Fat cats will be fat cats, they find opportunities. Its good to see an eco-friendly writer, but you have to offer cost effective alternatives to us. And, there are a tremendous number of petroleum based products out there, not just fuel.

However, he's kinda slummy and although he said it's going to take a week before he can do it, it's probably going to take longer. Only if you go and get it yourself. The cost of running the oil truck is quite high and your dealer will just loose to much money. Call the company and ask what arrangements can be made

If we continue to buy oil from the Middle East, are we unknowingly helping to fund the religious terrorists?

Human resist cleaner energy because we are afraid of change, risks and the unknown. We don't trust the unknown and we don't trust ourselves that we can create our future, positively. We are afraid of the uncertain bridge between the old ways and the new ways.

OK. As of now, we need oil. It fuels our modern society and industries. The Middle East has plenty of it to sell us. We gladly pay them so we can grow infinitely (or so we think) and do our thing.

The root of the religious terrorists come from the Middle East. They wreak havoc in their own countries, with their own people and want to expand to force their bloody beliefs onto the rest of the world.

Where do they get the money, esp. US currency? Rich supporters in and outside of the Middle East fund them. I see oil payment as a major resource. Our government (and us) are paying them. They use part of these funds to buy weapons and train to conquer all non-believers (aka us). Are we unknowingly helping their bloody quest? If we continue to buy oil from the Middle East, are we unknowingly helping to fund the religious terrorists?
Yes, this country should become independent on oil like Brazil did, then the middle east countrys would go bankrupt and terrorism would decline, or maybe end...

Did anyone happen to notice today that savings accounts are at a 74 year low,, Exxon's profits at record high..If we continue to buy oil from the Middle East, are we unknowingly helping to fund the religious terrorists?
Yes and we have 300 years stored in our own ground but our government rater pay them!
Yes, we are and we're doing it with both eyes open. We don't resist alternate fuel sources out of fear of change. It is out of fear of loss of profit. We will never see an alternate fuel source that is not controlled and produced by the oil industry. They stand to lose billions of dollars if someone else markets an engine that runs on, say, sea water. They would rather catch the designer before he's done and buy the rights to it than let him finish it and get it marketed.

Right now, there is no way to avoid funding these people. At best, we can reduce what we pay them, but it will still be in the billions of dollars even then. Imagine what would happen if we should market an alternate fuel that was cheap, plentiful, and renewable. Imagine the consternation in the middle east when they realize that they will be nomads on the desert herding sheep within 10 years. I look forward to the day when they realize they don't matter on the world scene anymore. Without the world focused on the region, I think much of the fire in the terrorism movements will go out.
Yes. We need to develop alternate fuels. However, we have oilmen in the White House with close friends in Saudi Arabia so it is not in their interest to stop.
    this is true
Yes, we are funding the terrorist and engaging in their bloody quest for power, and a new world order and one religion! This is what it is coming to. I would like to know what happened to the $12 million sent to Iraq for rebuilding. It seems some of the private contractors that was paid this money (cash) has ties to the Whitehouse?
yes you are correct --it,s happening.one thing that u.s. can do in that region to remove monarchy,s with democratic govt,s.that also help to promote universal peace.
    Yes, but not 'unknowingly'.
Of course we indirectly fund the terrorists that strike us. It's kind of nice being bombed with our own dollars isn't it. People aren't afraid of a change in our use of oil for fuel. The oil giants just make sure that any great alternative fuel advances disappear. It's amazing yet not surprising what a bunch of sellouts these oil giants and people like Bush are.
yes, lets all sell our cars so they can go back to goat herding.
WHO DO WE GET THE MOST OIL FROM?? YOU COMPLAIN ABOUT HOW EXPENSIVE GAS WHERE DO WE GET OUR OIL FROM WHO IS CHEAPER---MAYBE WE CAN GET IT FROM ICELAND. YOU CAN'T HAVE IT BOTH WAYS- UNFORTUNATELY WE CAN-NOT PICK WHO HAS OIL FOR SALE AND WHO DOESN'T-AND GET IT AS CHEAP AS WE DO. EUROPE AND CANADA HAVE PAID THESE GAS PRICES FOR OVER 2 DECADES. WHEN WE STOP DRIVING SO MANY SUVS AND PICK-UP TRUCKS THAT DON'T GET NEAR 20MPG--WE MIGHT HAVE HALF A POINT. WE HAVE A CHOICE OF WHAT WE DRIVE--SO WE AREN'T POWERLESS--CHOICES,CHOICES.

How much does it cost to buy oil to change the oil in your car?

Prices range from $1.75 to $4.50 a quart plus $5 to $10 for a filter. How much does it cost to buy oil to change the oil in your car?
Shouldn't cost over $20 unless you go to a dealership. Shop at places like Grismer's (I'm not sure if they are Ohio - based) but if you purchase tires there, they will rotate your tires for free for as long as you own your vehicle and a good time to have your tires rotated is when you get your oil changed (oil change there is approx $16.00) So although you are paying for an oil change, you are getting your tires rotated for free. check with other service places like Goodyear in your area and see if they offer this service. Can save you lots of $$ in the long run.How much does it cost to buy oil to change the oil in your car?
It wounld cost about $ 20.00.
There are a lot of oils to choose from. You can get cheap regular oil or cheap synthetic. You can also get higher quality regular oil or higher quality synthetic. You could spend anywhere from $10-25. If your engine holds more than 5 quarts, add a few dollars to that estimate.
This depends on what brand of oil, type of oil (synthetic, or regular), where you buy it and how much you have to buy. $10 to $15 is average for 5 or 6 quarts or regular oil.
figure $3.00 a quart and you need 5, + a new filter at $3 to 5 so you will have between $18 to $20 invested and still have to get rid of the old oil and do all the labor yourself and a garage will do it for $21.95 (GM dealership).
    about 12$

Buying support for what? Do you actually think he wants to destroy America? Please, get a clue. Why does the United States still buy oil from Venezuelas president when he wants to destroy this country?
Better question: Why does Hugo Chavez, President of Venezuela, still sell oil to the United States. Perhaps he's afraid of George Bush?
yes it is. he doesn't want to destroy it he wants to take it over for the oil
Pragmatism and expedience as well as economy (shipping costs). But the US firms don't buy it from the Government, they buy from the Venezuelan oil company. Which happens to own Citgo, a major US oil refiner-marketer.
Citgo is gradually closing and selling off their stations.
The oil companies will be doing business long after this tinhorn has been assassinated and returned to the earth from which ha sprang.
Can I have what you're smoking? Chavez has every reason to suspect the President of trying to oust him. Do you remember the coup? That was backed by the Administration. Why? Because the oil companies were screaming about Chavez's policy of taxing them so that he could improve his country.

If you live in a fantasy world were the U.S. government wouldn't do something like that, just look to Iran. Yes, Iran! We overthrew a DEMOCRATICALLY ELECTED government at the behest of oil companies. Because of that, look at the problems we're having now.

For the most part, I'm ambivalent about Chavez. But he has done some good things. He's provided free doctors for those areas hot by hurricanes. He was willing to provide gas and oil to those areas that were hit by Hurricane Katrina at a loss to his country, just to help them out.

    Actions speak louder than words.
For the same reason that displaced Mom and Pop store owners now shop at Wal-mart. You deal with whomever you must to survive in this world. You may hate the entity and despise their philosophy, but we all have to get by. You just grin and bear it.
I suppose we need it, though if we could drill in Alaska we wouldn't need to go to Venezuela and then they'd have to change their tune. Everybody, including the animal lobby, wants drilling in Alaska. Only the outside environmentalists are against. Sunoco, which I know doesn't sell all over the country, doesn't import any of it's oil.
I agree it is pragmatism, but I just want to answer the guy claiming the venezuelan president doesn't want to destroy us. He made an official announcement that he has allied with Syria against the US's soul called imperialism. Read a newspaper bakka.
We buy his oil because we are addicted to his oil. We will continue to be addicted as long as we feel the necessity to drive our gas guzzling SUV's, never carpool and keep our houses so cold in the summer we could hang meat in the living room.
For exactly the same reasons Americans are great consumers of Chinese Communist goods.
Because the USA needs as much oil as it can get. The USA has only 5 % of the world's population, yet it uses 25%of the world's energy, and causes 25% of the world's pollution.

Additionally, you have a very distorted view of Chavez. He is one of the few world presidents who is actually doing some good for his citizens. He has improved the lifestyles of Venezuelans. The American government does not like him because he does not belong to one of the elites who are making war on the rest of the world. It's not Venezuela that wants to destroy America. Its America that wants to destroy the rest of the world. Additionally, do you really believe that Bush is interested in American citizens. If he was, he wouldn't have been involved in arranging to murder 3000 of them on 9/11. Additionally he wouldn't want American soldiers to be killed everyday. Bush doesn't care about you. Why protect him so much.

People outside of America, the other 95%, who get some truth in their newspapers and TV (not much, but some) know that he is one of the world's best presidents, and far superior to Bush.
    Money talks and bullsh*t walks.
The way the corporations see it is, Chavez is a clown, but business is business.
because american's are self-centers little biotches, and they can't live without oil. no one even thinks of not using their car, or cutting down on gasss

Why does the US sell 20% of its Alaskan Oil to other countries, then buy oil from the middle east?

No wonder America is being sold out?

    Best country money can buy?

If i make handsoap at home, I see no reason to go to the store and buy Handsoap.

Assinine. Why does the US sell 20% of its Alaskan Oil to other countries, then buy oil from the middle east?
Much has to do with transportation costs.

Do you know that standing in Alaska, one is closer to Japan than to Miami, FL?Why does the US sell 20% of its Alaskan Oil to other countries, then buy oil from the middle east?
I hate to burst your bubble but we buy most of our oil from Canada, Venezuela and Mexico. (In that order I believe) The nice thing about the high price of oil, is that it is forcing us to develop and promote alternative energy sources. The Chevy commercials with the kids are great, hope it is true.

Where can I buy Oil of Oregano like in a store?

I have seen it online and all that good stuff, but I want to buy it in the store.Where can I buy Oil of Oregano like in a store?
Go to a local health food store. They should have it there.

It also depends upon how you want to use it. They do have a literal oil of Oregano, it's pretty concentrated. If you want to consume it for health purposes, you can buy capsules or gels that have the actual liquid inside. Or there's powdered versions of it if it makes you squeamish to take the oil version.

I have been using the Oregano (both liquid gel and powder capsule) and it helps me greatly to keep my candida yeast problem down in my intestines. Otherwise, I have chronic diahrrea, and that's not fun.

Also going to a local health food store, you get people who understand the stuff they sell, and could help you with any questions or suggestions. And they don't really try to push stuff on you. They will give honest answers without trying to pressure you to buy.
