Can I buy oil at less than 100 gallons?

We have an oil heat/hot water tank, and our landlord is switching it over to gas. However, he's kinda slummy and although he said it's going to take a week before he can do it, it's probably going to take longer. We are almost out of oil and since it's the summer, we REALLY don't need 100 gallons of oil. Is there any way to buy like 15 or something? Does anyone know? I'm in New Haven, CT.Can I buy oil at less than 100 gallons?
to deliver 100 gallons would cost you.. you can go to your corner store and buy kerosene by the gallon. i am a service tech and during a ';run-out'; this is what we do to hold someone over until a truck gets there. you just dont want to use a gas can so at a home depot you can purchase a blue 5 gallon jug. when you go to your fill which will have a screw off type top which will be the larger of the 2 meaning the fill will be the 2'; pipe. just pour it in.. hope this helpsCan I buy oil at less than 100 gallons?
Follow-up: Kerosene is not the right type of product for an oil heat system. Diesel fuel is. That would be a yellow canister. Kerosene is a gas, gas an oil are not interchangable. Report Abuse

Only if you go and get it yourself. The cost of running the oil truck is quite high and your dealer will just loose to much money. Call the company and ask what arrangements can be made
