Where can i buy transformer oil in the UK?

I've looked around on the web but i cant seem to find anywhere that sells the stuff. i've found a few places in the usa but they dont ship to the UK.

Try searching for ';electrical oil'; or ';insulating oil';. That is how a found this one, looked to be several more, also check with transformer re-builders, and your local power utility.

Most industries deal direct with the oil companies, Shell, Mobil etc. You can try but I assume you only want a small quantity so they may not want to deal but they may well put you in touch with someone that sells it on.





The other option would be to approach a local motor rewind company. They will have it for welding sets etc and may be more willing to sell smaller amounts. It depends where you are but try this co they have repair shops in most places http://www.wyko.co.uk/
