Does the US buy oil from Iraq and if so is it at the going rate.?

I have heard that the US get it for nothing in return for cash for rebuilding etc Real facts please not speculation or theories.Does the US buy oil from Iraq and if so is it at the going rate.?
US Imports of Iraqi oil have continued to rise since earlier this year. Iraq is part of OPEC and oil purchased is at the contracted OPEC rate. Oil imports from Iraq average between 10,000 and 16,000 barrels monthly. Iraq is the 4th largest exporter of oil to the US from OPEC during October 2007.

Wow where have you been? Look at all the scandals that involved contractor bilking millions of dollars that were suppose to be used to rebuild Iraq. That money was set aside by the government for all the oil that was being stolen by Haliburton.

Does the US ';steal'; oil from who? Bush %26amp; Co. profits for Iraqi oil. You sure don't believe we are there to make the world a better place or to save the world do you? Bush is the axes of evil, a thief and the most dangerous terrorist in the world today.
To date we have gotten so little oil from Iraq that the amount is practically insignificant. Seems a lot of Iraqis deeply resent our presence and keep blowing up the pipelines.
All I can go on is what my son told me about that situation while he was serving in Iraq .


At that time the US was getting no oil for export from Iraq.





Our military had to guard the transport tanker trucks, pay out the *** for any fuel they needed and the Iraqi people were buying fuel for their vehicles and homes for the escalated fee of 3 cents a gallon, when my son left Iraq the price had risen to 5 cents a gallon

As it was Iraq's oil and their people buying it I had no real problem with their pricing system

What I had a problem with was everyone over here saying ';the US is stealing Iraq's oil '; when they didn't have a clue or didn't care to find out any facts.
Yes it's a fact. USA buys oil and everything else they can get. If Iraq has oil which they do, USA has to have some. On MSNBC.MSN.COM it said the rate per barrel was now $72





Thats why we should stick to bicycles and boats.
