What you want depends really on your preference.

It's solid until you warm it in your hands, then you can use it on your skin and hair. Just take out a chunk, rub it betweeen your palms for a few seconds, and you're good to go. I use it on myself and also on my clients as a massage therapist. Make sure it's virgin, cold-pressed. If you get something at the beauty store, chances are good that it will be a lesser product at a higher price. i live in australia so i get coconut oil from any asian or filipino stores or i get my mum to import some from the phillippines...there may be some health food stores out there who supply it..or check if you can buy it from the internet

If you're worried about toxicity, try working with the Winsor %26amp; Newton Artisan paints. The Artisan line is water miscible. This means they thin and clean up with water instead of turpentine. Turpentine is the most toxic factor in oil painting.

When choosing paint brushs, don't go cheap. Cheap brushes leave bristles in your paint and tend to lose their shape. I would recommend going with Raphael bristle brushes. They're relativly inexpensive for a quality brush and they're stiff enough for moving thick oil paint around.

Paints, pencils, solvents, canvas, brushes, media, palette, easel are basic supplies. I recommend buying them on line for best prices.
It's difficult to get absolutely non-toxic oil paints. Cadmium reds and yellows are essential basic pigments. Most toxins are in small concentrations and they are not airborne, so you just have to remember not to put any thing in your mouth with paint on it and avoid as much as possible getting paints on your skin. You can get orderless solvents but they still can irritate your nose and skin.
Basically, you just have to be careful.
You will need a stretched canvas to paint on (approx 拢4 depending on size) oil paints, again a set of colours will be cheaper than buying separate. Linseed oil to thin the paint down when painting with it, brushes or palette knives to paint with depending on your style, rags to wipe the paint, white spirit to clean the brushes.
you could probably do this for 拢30 or there abouts if you shop around.
As for toxic paint, I thought that was now illegal and that all paints had to be non toxic...linseed oil does smell but isn`t toxic.

I only say that because a crab boil mix has a lot of different spices and peppers in the mix, and if he is suggesting that you use that instead of just the cayenne pepper, I think it only means it would be more flavorful because of the other peppers and spices in the mix and it just makes more sense, than substituting with a crab oil, which would not have any peppers or spice to them. Also, I have never heard of crab oil, but that does not mean it does not exist.

I think you're asking when to lock in - I would go ahead. They already produced the inventory and its sitting in the tanks at the terminals - horses are out of the barn. Local prices may not come down even if NY Harbor prices do - because the local wholesaler is not going to want to be sitting on a lot of inventory if NY Harbor prices are falling. If we have a cold winter, spot prices will rise. A warm winter, spot prices will fall - but you won't be using as much product so your overall bill will still be lower even though you're paying a higher rate than the spot rate.
